For testers

Make testing easy

No framework to set up. Check a page on any device profile, language and location, and let an agent write the test while it runs.

One page on a desktop, a tablet and a phone, emulated in French, in Paris time, at a Paris location and in dark mode.

Emulate the devices you care about

Phones, tablets and desktops with their real viewport, pixel density and user agent. Pick a preset, or set the viewport and density yourself.

Devices →

Emulate where and how

Set the language, time zone, location and color scheme for a capture, and see the page as a visitor with those settings sees it.

Browser flags →

Bring an agent, keep the script

Describe a test in plain words and a navigator runs it. It writes its steps as a Playwright or Puppeteer script, which you can replay in ZShot through CDP.

Turn a bug into a test →

Install the app, start testing

The browser comes in the app, with no drivers or browser downloads to manage. It works with your coding agent too, so it can find bugs alongside you.

ZShot for agents →
Testing in a pipeline?
Run the same checks from the CLI or the Docker image, with exit codes your CI can read.
ZShot for business →
Use a coding agent?
ZShot gives Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and others a browser they can see through.

Questions

Before you start testing

Which devices are included?
Widely used Apple and Android phones and tablets, and desktop Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari. Each preset sets the viewport, pixel density and user agent, and ZShot renders every one in its own Chromium. You can also set your own viewport and pixel density. See the device list.
Is this a replacement for Playwright or Puppeteer?
It works alongside them. A navigator writes what it did as a Playwright or Puppeteer script you can keep in your test suite, and zshot --cdp runs it again in ZShot. See an example.
Which models can run a navigator?
Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Mistral, DeepSeek, Groq and more, or a local model through Ollama. See LLM connections.
Can I run checks in CI?
Yes. The CLI exits with a specific exit code for a timeout, a page that fails to load or a navigation goal it didn’t reach, so a pipeline can tell what went wrong.
Does emulating a location need a real GPS?
No. ZShot reports the location you set to the page through the Geolocation API.
Is it really pay once?
Yes. Standard and Pro are one-time purchases that include updates for the major version you buy.
